Entertaiment is not something that can be learned. It comes to a person naturally based on their personality, character and how they view the world around them. Some people find it easy to get entertained and others struggle. It is very hard to change one’s taste for entertainment unless there is a major life event that changes the way you think. The word “entertainment” derives from the Middle French entretener, which itself comes from the Latin intertenere, or ‘to hold inside’; the prefix inter- means ‘inside,’ and the suffix -tenere echoes the Indo-European root of ten, meaning’stretch.’
